“Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, never let it fade away…”
There is nothing quite like laying out under the blanket of a starry summer night sky to watch for brilliant, falling stars. Tonight the annual Perseid meteor shower will rain down in all its beauty, but you may have to be quite the night owl or early riser (depending on when you sleep) to catch it. In North America, the best time to watch will be between midnight to 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, but late Tuesday night and also Wednesday night could prove fruitful, weather permitting.
