Freewheeling, happy-go-lucky music with high energy arrangements, soul shaking horns and vocals that will get you feeling that New Orleans funky beat!
After a successful first run earlier this year, Harrah’s New Orleans brings back “Joint’s Jumpin’,” a musical revue celebrating classic New Orleans rhythm and blues hits from the 1950’s and 1960’s. Shows take place in Harrah’s Theatre, Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 6 - 9, with shows at 8 p.m. nightly.
Famed Musical Director Larry Sieberth has assembled an “A-List” group of New Orleans’ Musicians and vocalists who will perform some of the era’s greatest hits. An ensemble of talented performers will deliver New Orleans R&B hits that topped the charts nationally and internationally from the 50s to the 60s. “Joint’s Jumpin’” includes songs originally recorded by Huey “Piano” Smith, Lloyd Price, Fats Domino, Chris Kenner, Art Neville, Shirley & Lee, Smiley Lewis, Irma Thomas, Clarence “Frogman” Henry, Professor Longhair, Aaron Neville, Robert Parker, Barbara George and more.
